Hello!
We are David and Hannah Alexander, and we believe God has lead us to do His work in Peru. Our goal is to assist in training the next generation of church leaders in music and discipleship.
In 2019, David had the opportunity to take a trip to visit the Baptist Mid-Missions team which has been serving in Peru for many years. The Lord used that trip to point out several ways Hannah and David could be a help in the ministries going on there.
Campamento Bautista la Fortaleza (Camp Fortress) is a Christian camp outside the city of Trujillo. The camp needs a dedicated Program Director as it continues to grow. The camp is a vital part of drawing young people to Christ, as well as funneling them towards the Bible college and further service for Christ.
Seminario Bautista del Peru (Peru Baptist Seminary) is a Bible college in the city of Trujillo. They have been a hub for training the next generation of preachers, teachers, and leaders to continue church work across the country, as well as across the entire South American continent. The college is growing, and there have been requests for a music program to help in developing biblical worship in the churches.
We intend to go and take leadership in these ministries, teaching music in the seminary, evangelizing in the camp, and discipling in the churches. Between us, we have multiple years of camp ministry serving in many capacities, including program directors. We have also served in church ministries of all sorts for many years, including as the music minister/assistant to the pastor. We are Bible college educated and excited to use the training we’ve been blessed with to bless others.
We completed a 5 month survey trip in 2024, and are now on full-time deputation with Baptist Mid-Missions as of July 2024. Our goal is to get on the field as quickly as the Lord would have us back. In order to do this, we need two things:
We need your prayers, that God would prepare our hearts, and prepare our minds to preach and teach in a new place and a new language. Pray for us that God would keep us healthy and give us the ability to keep up with a busy schedule as we move forward. Pray also for us that we would be able to raise the support we need.
We are of course seeking full-time support through those who would choose to partner with us. God is already providing, and we are confident He will meet this need.
